8 books about love for Valentine’s Day

8 Books for Valentine's Day A Little Bit Of Lisa

I’m so in love with love.
Love makes the world go round. Love brings a smile to everyone’s face. Love is what magic is made of.
I’m not just talking about romantic love, where you and your boo just wanna smoosh faces 24/7. Because that mostly just makes everyone sick.
I’m talking about love for yourself, love for your awesome life, love for everything and everyone around you. IT’S THE BEST THING EVER.

Here’s 8 books (some I’ve read, some I’ve yet to read) that I think are right up there on the awesome scale for teaching you about self-love, romantic love and loving the world. Because if you love the world, it will love you right back!

You Can Heal Your Life, by Louise L Hay
Actual most amazing book about learning to heal yourself with love. This is possibly one of my favourite books ever. Louise is an incredibly smart and amazing lady with so many wise words that you must read right away!

Treasure Yourself, by Miranda Kerr
Miranda bases a lot of her book on Louise’s teachings, as well as those of Deepak Chopra and Dr Wayne Dyer. It’s a lovely book and so easy to read and understand. There is pages and pages of affirmations at the end, which rock my world. Miranda also has a new book called Empower Yourself that looks pretty and interesting.

Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus, by John Gray
This is the classic romantic love manual. It’s pretty spot on when it comes to understanding your significant other, and yourself as well. Good advice that has stood the test of time.

Spirit Junkie: A Radical Road to Self Love and Miracles, by Gabrielle Bernstein
I’ve just started reading this book. It’s based on the self-study curriculum A Course in Miracles. Gabrielle tells the story of her awesome transformation from someone down in the dumps to a life full of amazingness. Perfect for the younger generation to understand some universal truths.

Eat, Pray, Love, by Elizabeth Gilbert
This is probs more famous for the movie now, but the book is better. It’s a true story about the author’s journey to self discovery, plus it features travel to Italy, India and Indonesia.

Beautiful You: A Daily Guide to Radical Self-Acceptance, by Rosie Molinary
I haven’t read this one, but it looks perfect. It’s a 365-day guide to learning how to love yourself and feel wonderful about yourself no matter what your size, shape or colour.

He’s Just Not That Into You, by Greg Behrendt
This is tough love. It’s for ladies to learn when a guy just doesn’t like them enough. Hard to hear but almost always true!

The Power of Now, A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment, by Eckhart Tolle
I’ve also just started reading this one. This book takes you on a journey to enlightenment by learning to live in the moment and by showing us we are the creators of our own lives.

Happy reading, lovers!
